The developer and manufacturer of modern urban electric transport PK Transport Systems (PK TS) has fulfilled the contract for the supply of 16 fully low-floor single-section trams 71-911ЕМ Lionet to Izhevsk. The renewal of the rolling stock for the capital of Udmurtia was carried out within the framework of participation in the national project "Safe and high-quality highways" (BKAD).
“We produced and handed over to the customer 16 single-section Lionet trams in a little more than two weeks,” comments Feliks Vinokur, President of PK Transport Systems. - The shortest time frame did not become an obstacle in creating high-quality and safe products. With the advent of new technology, the appearance of Izhevsk will change, trams will become a real decoration of the city. It is pleasant to observe how the transport systems of Russian cities are developing in terms of renewing the rolling stock of electric transport. I am sure that the residents of Izhevsk will like the new trams, and they will enjoy using public transport services with even greater pleasure”.
It should be reminded that in November, the State Transport Leasing Company (STLK) won the tender for the supply of 16 single-section trams to the IzhGorElectrotrans Municipal Unitary Enterprise, with which PK Transport Systems entered into a contract for the production of rolling stock. According to the terms of the contract, all trams for Izhevsk were to be shipped by December 8, 2020. Today PK Transport Systems is fulfilling a contract for the production of 29 Lionet trams for Ulyanovsk, 15 units of this model are already successfully operating in Ulan-Ude, 8 - in Perm. In the fall of 2020, the company won the tender for the supply of 40 "Lion" s to Moscow.
Tram Lionet (71-911EM) is a compact, low-floor, single-section, four-axle tram that combines the advanced developments of PK Transport Systems. The machine is based on a unique low-floor, swivel bogie of its own design and production, which made it possible to create the world's first completely low-floor single-section tramcar. 100%-low-floor and wide doorways will seriously speed up passenger traffic at stops, which will reduce the time a tram travels along the route and significantly increase their operational efficiency. The installed passive safety system allows minimizing the risks of injury to the driver and passengers, as well as reducing the resulting damage to equipment in the event of an emergency collision.
A spacious passenger cabin, ergonomic interior, comfortable seats, climate control system, USB sockets for charging mobile devices, and an advanced media system make the tram ride pleasant and comfortable. PK Transport Systems in the arrangement of the interior uses aluminum alloys, which makes it a durable and most fire-safe tram in Russia. The tramcar has 40 seats, interactive control, an external video monitoring system for passenger pick-up and drop-off zones and monitoring of the traffic situation, a system of active and passive assistance to the driver when driving a tramcar. A folding ramp and a driver call button are provided for passengers with limited mobility.
